All-on-X Implant Turkey

A personalised dental treatment option planned after clinical evaluation.

All-on-X Implant Turkey

All-on-X Implant Türkiye: “X” Represents the Number of Implants Required for You

All-on-X is actually the general name of fixed full jaw implant treatments.

Here “X” refers to the number of implants to be placed in one jaw.

This number may vary depending on the patient's bone structure, anatomical conditions, general health status, chewing forces and the design of the final prosthesis to be built on it.

Therefore, All-on-X treatment; It can be considered as a general approach that includes All-on-4, All-on-5, All-on-6, All-on-8 or full jaw systems using a different number of implants according to clinical need.

The basic logic of the treatment is the same:

Placing the required number of implants in a jaw and creating a fixed full jaw prosthesis on these implants, extending from the front teeth to the rear chewing teeth.

All-on-X Is Not A Number Of Implants, It Is A Full Jaw Treatment Logic

In all-on-4, X = 4.

In all-on-6, X = 6.

In some patients X = 5, in some patients X = 6 or 8.

At DentHolding Clinics, first ask "How much should X be?" We don't decide. First, we evaluate the patient; Then we decide what X should be.

AWhat is the Main Purpose of All-on-X Therapy?

The goal of All-on-X treatment is not to place as many implants as possible in the patient.

The aim is to create the necessary implant system to support the fixed full jaw prosthesis in a functional, balanced, cleanable and long-term follow-up manner.

For this reason, their distribution in the jaw is as important as the number of implants.

For example, having six implants in close proximity to each other does not automatically create a better system than having implants distributed in the right areas.

As many implants as there are in DentHolding Clinics; ZXQDHTAG00049QXThe position of the implants, the length of the prosthesis, the support of the posterior chewing areas and the distribution of closing forces are also evaluated.

We Plan the Final Teeth First. Then We Determine the Number of Implants.

The purpose of implants is not just to be in the jawbone.

Implants must support the fixed prosthesis that the patient will use in the correct areas.

We start planning by considering not the implant, but the new dental system that the implants will carry.

AWhat Do All-on-4, All-on-5, All-on-6 and All-on-8 Mean?

System Number of Implants in One Jaw General Approach
All-on-4 4 implant A fixed full jaw prosthesis is planned on four implants by strategic use of existing bone.
All-on-5 5 implant When clinical conditions are appropriate, personalized distribution can be created by incorporating an additional implant into the prosthetic support.
All-on-6 6 implant In the presence of suitable bone, a wider implant distribution can be created over six implants.
All-on-8 8 implant If the bone, anatomy and prosthetic plan are clinically appropriate, a full jaw system supported from more points can be evaluated.
All-on-X Determined by individual The number and distribution of implants that the patient actually needs are determined.

More Implants Doesn't Always Mean Better

It is not correct to say that All-on-8 is better than All-on-6 or All-on-6 is better than All-on-4 for every patient.

Additional implants must be able to be used in a clinically significant area, there must be sufficient bone, and the final prosthesis must truly benefit from it.

At DentHolding Clinics, the goal is not the maximum number of implants, but the necessary and sustainable number of implants.

How Does DentHolding Clinics Decide the Number of Implants?

We do not look at a single factor when determining the number of implants in the All-on-X plan.

Review Why is it important?
Bone Amount and Distribution It affects in which areas implants can be safely planned.
Final Prosthesis Length It affects how the posterior chewing areas are supported.
Mastic Force Mechanical loads on the implant and prosthesis need to be evaluated.
Opposite Jaw Opposite natural teeth or implant-supported dentures may change the forces to be applied.
Teeth Clenching / Bruxism High chewing forces are taken into account in implant and prosthesis design.
Smoking It is one of the important risk factors that may affect healing and surrounding tissue health.
Diabetes and Systemic Diseases The level of control of the disease, healing capacity, and general health may affect the implant plan.
Cleanability Placing more implants only makes sense for long-term care if the patient can clear these areas.

Why is the Number of Implants Evaluated in More Detail in Patients with High Risk Factors?

Smoking, poorly controlled diabetes, severe periodontal history, high chewing forces or similar factors may alter the risk profile of implant treatment.

These situations alone do not mean that "All-on-4 cannot be done".

However, at DentHolding Clinics, in patients with a high risk profile, if the bone and anatomical conditions allow, we attach importance to the evaluation of additional implant support instead of leaving a complete jaw prosthesis dependent on only four implants.

If the Risk Increases, We Also Consider the Redundancy of the System

Using five or six implants in the presence of suitable bone may help support the full jaw system from more points in some patients.

Six or more implant options may also be considered if clinically significant and the patient's bone structure allows it.

The purpose here is not to assume that there will be a problem with an implant in the future; The aim is to create the treatment plan by considering not only today but also possible long-term scenarios.

Why is Implant Distribution Important If an Implant Has a Problem in the Future?

In full jaw treatment, all implants are parts of the same prosthetic system.

If a biological or mechanical problem occurs in one of the implants over the years, how the treatment is managed depends on the number of implants, their location, the condition of the remaining implants, and the design of the prosthesis.

Having more implants does not mean that the problematic implant will simply be removed and treatment will continue with other implants.

However, properly distributed additional implant support may provide physicians with more prosthetic options in some clinical scenarios.

For this reason, we evaluate the number of implants not only on the initial cost but also on the long-term plan of the entire system.

While Providing Today's Treatment, We Also Consider Tomorrow's Possibilities

The number of implants can affect not only the day of surgery but also how the prosthesis can be managed in the future.

So Why Don't We Make 8 Implants for Each Patient?

Because more implants are not always more accurate treatment.

Suitable bone areas must be found to place eight implants.

Additional implants must make a clinically significant contribution to the final prosthesis.

Each implant is a separate surgical field, a separate care area, and a separate part of the prosthetic plan.

For this reason, even if the patient's treatment budget allows for a more comprehensive system, we do not apply clinically unnecessary implants.

However, if the bone structure is suitable, if it provides prosthetic benefit and if it is meaningful for the patient in terms of long-term planning, six, eight or a different number of implants can be evaluated.

Why May We Sometimes Have to Use All-on-4?

The ideal number of implants is not determined solely by our preference.

Some patients may have severe bone loss, especially in the posterior regions of the upper jaw.

The anatomical location of the maxillary sinuses in the upper posterior jaw region and the insufficiency of existing bone may make it difficult to place standard implants in the posterior regions.

In this case, two different approaches may come to the fore:

Approach What Does It Mean?
Bone Increase in the Sinus Area In suitable patients, sinus lifting and bone grafting can be applied to create new bone support for the implant in the posterior region.
Strategic Use of Existing Bone In appropriate cases, an All-on-4-like implant distribution can be planned by using the existing anterior/middle jaw bone without entering the posterior sinus regions.

Sometimes 4 Implants Are Selected Not Because They Are "Less", But Because Anatomy Directs Us In That Direction

When there is not enough bone in the sinus areas, especially in the upper jaw, placing implants in the posterior areas for six or eight implants may require extensive bone augmentation surgery.

For some patients, this treatment is possible; For some patients, it can significantly prolong treatment.

In appropriate clinical conditions, the All-on-4 approach may be one of the options that can avoid more extensive sinus grafts by strategically using existing bone.

How Long Can Treatment Take If There Is No Bone In The Sinus Area?

When there is not enough bone for an implant in the upper posterior jaw area, bone augmentation procedures such as sinus lifting and bone grafting may be required.

If it is not possible to safely place the implant in the same session, bone augmentation treatment can be performed first.

Then, the formed bone is waited to mature.

Although this waiting period varies depending on the magnitude of the procedure and the biological recovery of the patient, it may be approximately 6 months or longer.

A second healing period is then required for the implants to be placed and for the implants to integrate with the bone.

Therefore, in some patients with advanced sinus/bone insufficiency, treatment may be significantly prolonged compared to the standard All-on-X process.

More Implants or Shorter Treatment?

In some patients, it is possible to perform extensive sinus and bone surgery first for six or eight implants.

In another patient, it may be more appropriate to plan a full jaw prosthesis using four implants using the existing bone.

This decision is not based on the number of implants; It is determined by considering the surgical risk, treatment duration, bone structure, prosthesis design and patient expectations.

AHow Many Times Do You Need to Come to Türkiye for All-on-X?

In standard two-stage eligible All-on-X cases that do not require bone augmentation, a minimum of two Türkiye visits are planned for international patients.

The first visit is for implant surgery and the first necessary prosthetic procedures.

The second visit is for the preparation of the final fixed prosthesis after the implants have healed.

Standard All-on-X Travel Plan

Minimum 2 Türkiye Visits

1. Türkiye Visit
Usually about 2–3 days

Examination → Necessary radiological evaluation → Final surgical plan → Necessary imaging → Placement of implants → Temporary prosthesis planning, if appropriate

Recovery Period
In most standard implant protocols, usually at least about 3 months; longer than clinical situation

2. Türkiye Visit
Usually about 7–10 days for the final denture stage

Control → Impression / digital recording → Aesthetic and function rehearsals → Closure control → Final fixed teeth → Gum Care & Aftercare training

Why First Visit About 2–3 Days?

The first visit is not just about a few hours of surgery to place implants.

The patient's clinical evaluation, radiological examinations, necessary tooth extractions, implant surgery, post-procedure checks and, if any, temporary prosthesis stages are planned together.

Therefore, in standard appropriate cases, it may be possible to organize the first visit for international patients within a plan of approximately 2–3 days.

Length of stay may vary depending on the scope of surgery, additional procedures and the clinical condition of the patient.

Why Second Visit About 7–10 Days?

The second visit is not just about installing a ready-made tooth on implants.

The final full jaw prosthesis is prepared individually.

During this process, digital records or measurements can be taken; The position, length, color, lip support, speech and closing of the teeth are evaluated.

After the necessary rehearsals and laboratory stages are completed, the final prosthesis is applied.

Therefore, for the final prosthetic phase, a Türkiye program of approximately 7–10 days can be planned for most suitable health tourism patients.

The exact duration may vary depending on the type of prosthesis, clinical and laboratory process.

Can Temporary Fixed Teeth Be Made in the First Visit?

In suitable patients, a temporary fixed full jaw prosthesis can be applied to be used during the recovery period after the placement of the implants.

However, for this to be possible, implants must demonstrate sufficient primary stability and clinical conditions must be appropriate.

Therefore “same day fixed tooth” cannot be guaranteed for every patient.

Temporary Tooth = Not Final Tooth

The fixed prosthesis that can be applied at the first visit is mostly a temporary prosthesis prepared to be used during the healing period of the implants.

The final prosthesis is prepared during the second visit to Türkiye after the implants and surrounding tissues have healed.

AWhy is General Health Important in All-on-X Treatment?

Since All-on-X can include multiple implant surgery, the patient's general health condition is as important as the number of implants.

Diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, conditions affecting the immune system, diseases or medications that may affect bone metabolism, bleeding risk and smoking/tobacco use are evaluated before treatment.

Especially in diabetic patients, the level of control of the disease is important.

If necessary, an opinion or treatment approval may be requested from the relevant specialist physician who follows the patient.

Medicines used should not be stopped or changed without a doctor's advice.

We Make Sure It's Safe First

The question is not just “how many implants can we make?” It is not. The question is which treatment is safe, sustainable and clinically correct for you.

AIs All-on-X Treatment Painful?

Full jaw implant surgery is mostly performed under local anesthesia.

By anesthetizing the surgical area, it is aimed to avoid feeling any pain during the procedure.

Temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising or discomfort may occur after treatment.

The number of implants, extractions performed in the same session, bone grafting and other surgical procedures may affect the healing process.

At DentHolding Clinics, we plan the treatment process in a way that is as controlled and patient-comfortable as possible, and we also manage the post-procedure care process individually.

AThe Real Heart of All-on-X Treatment: Final Prosthesis

Patients often ask "4 implants, 6 implants, 8 implants?" focuses on the question.

However, implants are only the basis of treatment.

The structure used by the patient in his daily life is a full jaw fixed prosthesis prepared on implants.

X Number of Implants is Essential. Final Prosthesis Completes the Treatment.

It is not enough for the final prosthesis to just look white and beautiful.

The position of the chewing teeth, the length of the teeth, the smile line, lip support, speaking, closing, chewing forces and the cleanability of the prosthesis should be evaluated together.

At DentHolding Clinics, we do not consider the number of implants independently of the final prosthesis.

AWhat Do We Consider in the All-on-X Prosthesis?

Alan Why is it important?
Back Chewing Support Safe extension of final teeth to the posterior areas is related to implant distribution.
Smile Design The harmony of the teeth with the face and lips is evaluated.
Lip Support The relationship of the full jaw prosthesis to the facial appearance is planned.
Speech The phonetic effects of tooth positions are evaluated.
Closing A balanced distribution of forces on implants and prosthesis is aimed.
Cleanability The patient must be able to clean under the prosthesis and around the implant on a daily basis.

AWhat Does “Lifetime Warranty” Mean on All-on-X Implants?

Some implant systems used at DentHolding Clinics may include a lifetime product replacement warranty for the implant product itself, depending on the relevant manufacturer's warranty terms.

However, this statement is not a guarantee that the implant will not experience any problems in the mouth throughout its life.

Lifetime Product Warranty ≠ Lifetime Clinical Success

The manufacturer can guarantee the implant product; It cannot guarantee the biological change of the human body over the years.

The long-term success of the implant may be affected by bone, gum, general health status, smoking, hygiene, chewing forces and prosthesis.

At DentHolding Clinics, we clearly distinguish these two concepts to our patients.

What Happens If an Implant Failed?

If an implant is lost in the future, the cause of the problem is first evaluated.

The bone and soft tissue condition in the relevant area, the remaining implants and the current design of the complete jaw prosthesis are re-examined.

If the manufacturer's warranty conditions are met, the new implant product can be provided free of charge.

However, it should be noted that this does not mean that the new implant can be automatically placed in the same area.

If there is not enough bone left in the area, bone augmentation may be required first or the relevant area may not be suitable for a repeat implant.

New Implant May Be Free; Not All of the New Treatment

The implant product itself can be provided free of charge if the manufacturer's warranty conditions are met.

However, re-surgery, medical service, bone grafting if necessary, and replacement or re-preparation of the implant-supported prosthesis are separate treatment items.

A manufacturer's product warranty is not the same as having all clinical treatment free of charge.

DentHolding Gum Care & Aftercare Protocol – All-on-X

In full chin implant treatment, the treatment does not end with the installation of the prosthesis.

Regardless of whether four, five, six or eight implants are used, the health of the gums and supporting bone tissues around the implant must be protected.

Additionally, the areas under the full chin prosthesis must be cleaned correctly.

Your New Teeth Are Fixed. Your care should also be systematic.

We aim to leave Türkiye not only with your new fixed teeth, but also knowing how to protect them.

How to clean the area around the implant, under the prosthesis, and areas that need attention during daily care is explained individually to the individual.

Healthy Gums. Stable Foundations. A Healthier Smile.

phase DentHolding Approach
Bone & Gum Check Bone, tissues around the implant and oral hygiene are evaluated.
Professional Implant Care The necessary professional implant environment and periodontal care needs are evaluated.
Full-Arch Cleaning Training The patient is taught how to clean under the fixed full jaw prosthesis.
Personal Home Care A personal care routine is created according to the prosthesis design and mouth structure.
Bite & Prosthesis Follow-Up The need for control of closure, prosthetic surfaces and mechanical parts is evaluated.
DentHolding Aftercare If necessary, information and remote communication support is provided after returning to the country.

Why DentHolding Clinics?

The Right X. The Right Position. The Right Prosthesis.

We plan the whole system, not the number of implants.

At DentHolding Clinics, we do not consider All-on-X as a standard package sold for a certain number of implants.

Preservability of the patient's natural teeth, bone structure, sinus anatomy, general health status, smoking, number of implants, implant distribution, temporary prosthesis, healing, final fixed teeth, chewing areas, closure, cleanability and long-term aftercare are parts of the same plan.

For some patients, four implants may be the best solution.

In some patients, if the bone and clinical conditions are suitable, planning over five, six or more implants may be more appropriate.

Our goal is “how many implants can we sell to you?” not to answer the question; “What is the correct X for your full chin treatment?” is to answer the question.

What is your X?

4? 5? 6? 8?

The answer to this question is not the package price; It should be determined by your bone, your health condition and your final prosthesis.

Notification: All-on-X does not refer to a single number of implants or the same surgical method for every patient. The number and distribution of implants are determined according to clinical examination, necessary radiological evaluations, existing bone, anatomical conditions, general health status and final prosthesis plan. Diabetes or smoking alone are not absolute obstacles to All-on-4; however, implant and healing risks must be evaluated on an individual basis. Using additional implants does not guarantee more successful treatment for every patient. All-on-8 or similar plans with more implants should only be considered if appropriate bone, anatomy, and prosthetic necessity exist. A minimum of two Türkiye visits can be planned in standard and suitable All-on-X cases that do not require bone augmentation. The first visit can be planned for approximately 2–3 days, and the second visit for the final prosthetic phase can be planned for approximately 7–10 days; The exact duration may vary depending on clinical and laboratory processes. A healing period of at least approximately three months is usually required between implant surgery and the final prosthesis in most standard cases. In advanced posterior upper jaw bone deficiency, sinus lifting / bone augmentation procedures may be required and graft healing may take approximately 6 months or longer. In some suitable patients, All-on-4 type planning, in which existing bone is used strategically, can be considered as an alternative to more extensive posterior bone augmentation procedures. The ability to apply temporary fixed teeth during the first visit depends on implant stability and other clinical conditions. The manufacturer's lifetime product replacement assurance does not mean that the implant will have lifelong clinical success in the mouth. The definitive treatment plan is created after clinical examination and necessary evaluations.
